Spent another magical weekend with our coach and the Nemo Divers crew—and what a weekend it was. We arrived earlier than the boys, who joined us later after work.
On the first night, the owner of Nemo Divers brought out a big speaker for karaoke. Under the gentle gaze of the waxing moon—nearly full and glowing like a pearl in the sky—we sang our hearts out. I sang a few songs with my husband and the others, our voices rippling into the night air like waves. Laughter flowed freely, and in between melodies, we quietly prepared our equipment for the next day’s descent into the deep.
They say the moon governs water—not just the tides of the sea, but the waters within us. Our bodies, emotions, even our inner rhythm respond to her pull. No wonder the energy felt amplified that night. I came back with a clear intention: to reach 20 meters. Last time, I didn't make it. But I don’t see it as failure, just a message from the deep that I wasn’t ready yet. This time, though, something shifted. My ears felt strong, my spirit calm, and on my fifth dive… I touched 20.9 meters.
As I floated back up, I felt like I was rising through dimensions. Finally, I made it! I knew I could do it. By the end of the trip, I had done almost 40 dives. I’m not just diving into the sea. I’m diving into myself, peeling back layers, touching the essence of who I am beneath all the noise. Freediving continues to teach me about surrender, trust, and the beauty of silence. Alhamdulillah for the experience, I am more inspired now to go deeper.
